Diarmuid Costello is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Warwick. He is the author of On Photography: A Philosophical Inquiry (Routledge, 2018) and Aesthetics after Modernism (OUP, 2024), and a coeditor of special issues of the Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism, Critical Inquiry, and Art History on photography. He is working on a collection of essays on particular works of contemporary art that proposes a new methodology for substantive work in aesthetics.
Sherri Irvin is a Presidential Research Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oklahoma. She is the author of Immaterial: Rules in Contemporary Art (Oxford, 2022) and editor of Body Aesthetics (Oxford, 2016). Much of her current work centers on the intersection of aesthetics and ethics in everyday interactions.
Ting Cho Lau is currently a clinical assistant professor of philosophy at Wagner College. He works on topics in the intersection of social philosophy and aesthetics. He is particularly interested in the relationship between aesthetic practices and moral formation.
