The following changes have been made to the originally published manuscript.
In the legend for Figure 8, a new second sentence has been inserted to read: ‘The data source of each grey symbol is shown in Fig. S11.’
Under section Factor causing the difference between volcanic and tectonic LFEs, in the last paragraph, penultimate sentence should read: ‘[…] also have similar feature to the original distributions (Fig. S12, Supporting Information).’ instead of: ‘[…] also have similar feature to the original distributions (Fig. S11, Supporting Information).’
In the PDF section SUPPORTING INFORMATION (in the online version this is section Supplementary Data) a new entry was inserted as: ‘Figure S11.
