In the originally published version of this manuscript:
The funding statement for Benjamin D Levine was inadvertently omitted.
An incorrect email address was given for Benjamin D Levine as the corresponding author.
The legend for Figure 1 was missing a clarification that the changes in space were compared to the supine position on Earth.
In the following sentence the last word should be ‘decreased’ and not ‘increased’: “Conversely, if the upright position is the comparative posture, then stroke volume and cardiac output are increased, sympathetic activity is reduced, and vascular resistance is increased.”
These errors have now been corrected.
