A report of the annual meeting that was organized with a new and novel format, allowing participants to better individualize their choices according to their needs
In May 2016, yet another successful edition of the EuroPCR course on interventional cardiovascular medicine, the official congress of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions was held at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, attracting >11 588 participants from all over the globe.
A novel feature of this year's edition was the organization of the course according to a structure following three dimensions, namely THEMES, FOCUS, and FORMAT easily connected by the THEMATIC NAVIGATION app.
The first-dimension THEMES comprised the traditional tracks of coronary interventions, interventions for valvular disease and heart failure, peripheral interventions, and interventions for hypertension and stroke, allowing the participant to find sessions of interest within these different interventional domains.
The second-dimension FOCUS directed participants to their principal area of activity or interest and offered a selection of choices from a menu ranging from, innovation in clinical research to daily practice, essentials for Young Practitioners, Nurses, and Allied Professionals and Imaging.
