As the world revels in the afterglow of the spectacular 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, celebrating human endurance and triumph, we also mark the incredible breakthroughs presented at the 2024 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) congress in London. This issue of the European Heart Journal—Acute Cardiovascular Care features major advancements and insights in cardiac care, echoing the Olympic spirit of striving for excellence.
