As of 2023, the journal is online-only and does not charge submission fees or page charges. The journal publishes papers on the development, evolution, organization, plasticity, and function of the cerebral cortex, including the hippocampus. Authors interested in publishing in Cerebral Cortex may be able to publish their paper Open Access using funds available through their institution’s agreement with OUP.
