Abstract
Chapter 8 analyses anticompetitive agreements and restraints of trade in the decentralized economy. It starts by documenting factors that facilitate or hinder collusion in decentralized markets and it then presents the main conditions that need to hold to establish an anticompetitive agreement or restraint of trade offence. The chapter discusses in detail private and public information sharing in decentralized markets as well as illicit coordination between undertakings. It presents various ways by which coordination between undertakings can be justified and discusses the relevant conditions.
