Abstract
São Tomé and Principe, officially known as the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Principe, is a Portuguese-speaking island nation situated in the Gulf of Guinea, off the western equatorial coast of Africa. The country has a total area of 1,001 square kilometres (km) with a population of 204,327 (2017). The capital and largest city is São Tomé. The normal working week is from Monday to Friday 0800 to 1500. São Tomé and Principe’s currency is the dobra (STD).
