Abstract
In Chapter 2 the question of "What is normal?" is tackled with a review of the literature that describes common sexual development and behaviors in youth (early childhood, middle childhood, and adolescence, including differences between ethnicities and localities). It provides an overview of the scientific data regarding typical juvenile sexual behaviors, in order to provide clinicians a frame of reference for considering sexual behavior in individual cases.
