Abstract
Chapter 9 discusses the sixth session of the treatment program. This focuses on affect and mood management, challenging negative thoughts, managing strong negative emotions, coping with anxiety and depression, learning to relax, rearranging behavioral consequences, increasing the salience of negative consequences of drinking, and exploring alternatives to drinking in order to get similar positive rewards.
