Tim Gray, PhD, is a senior manuscript editing coordinator for the JAMA Network. He reviews the work of freelance manuscript editors to ensure that content aligns with JAMA Network reporting conventions. He is also the contact person for collaboration with authors in preparing their articles for publication across JAMA Network specialty journals. He reviewed chapters for the 11th edition of the AMA Manual of Style and since then has served as a member of the committee for the manual and as the editor of the stylebook blog, AMA Style Insider. He is active in presenting short course material at the annual Council of Science Editors meeting, reviewing educational material for professional organizations, and in promoting a sense of community in the JAMA Network with a group of peers working to foster unity through informal educational sessions.

Peter J. Olson, ELS, has been a freelance manuscript editing coordinator for the JAMA Network journals since 2021 and has worked in the STEM journal publishing industry for 30 years. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Council of Science Editors (CSE), has led the CSE Short Course for Manuscript Editors since 2013, and served as a chapter editor and production project manager for the 9th edition of The CSE Manual. Peter has been a member of the committee for the AMA Manual of Style since 2025 and serves as deputy chair of the committee.
