Robert Parsons retired this summer after serving 24 years as executive vice president of the Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacy (OSHP). Previously, he worked as a pharmacist in community and health-system settings, including 13 years as pharmacy director at Shelby General Hospital in Marietta, OH. Parsons first became involved in pharmacy leadership while studying at Ohio Northern University, where he was elected student pharmacy society president and represented the pharmacy college in the Student Senate. He served a term as OSHP president in 1993–1994. Parson’s professional honors include the OSHP Walter M. Frazier Award (1996), the Ohio Northern University Rudolph H. Raabe College of Pharmacy Distinguished Alumni Award (2007), and the Ohio Pharmacists Association Keys Award.
