Abstract
In adapting the Enola Holmes book series, the Netflix films rework the figure of the girl sleuth to suit a new generation of feminist viewers. They also provide a deeper exploration of power and the risks of trying to improve a world resistant to change. Netflix also amplifies the stories’ feminism by rehabilitating the ‘toxic’ male figure of Holmes himself.
